Description
Exclusive curtain tiebacks / Japanese Kutani fuchin Brand-new, authentic Japanese interior decor — luxurious hanging fuchin weights (fuchin), perfect as exclusive tiebacks for curtains and drapes. Brought directly from Japan, this rare vintage piece comes in its original box. If you’re looking for a unique, statement-making detail for a classic, art deco, japandi, Eastern minimalist, or boho interior, this accessory will make a stunning accent. How to use them as curtain tiebacks: Luxury tiebacks: Wrap them around gathered drapes. The handmade porcelain balls hold the fabric in place, while the substantial gold tassels hang elegantly down. They look incredibly expensive and elegant. Elegant weights: The weight of the porcelain balls helps straighten the side edges of curtains, keeping the fabric perfectly vertical and protecting curtains from drafts (literally, “fuchin” translates from Japanese as “wind tamer”). Collectible Kutani-yaki porcelain: The base of each ball bears the artist’s original hand-applied 九谷 underglaze mark, guaranteeing the item’s authenticity. Fine hand-painted decoration: The porcelain features rich, gilded painting. Classic scenes of wise men against a backdrop of pine trees are rendered in detail. In person, the painting is captivating in its detail. Manufacturer’s label: The original Japanese label with the model number (品番 サ16-1245) and the official name of the traditional painted design, “Kinmokubei” (絵柄 金木米), is preserved on the end of the original box. Condition: Immaculate, like-new condition. The porcelain has no chips or cracks. The braided, silky tassels in a rich gold color are perfectly straight, with no creases or signs of wear. Original box included. Set of two — just right for both sides of a window opening.
