Description

Hi! My name is Yulia Meshcheryakova, and I host music gatherings for parents in Kazimierz. My whole life has always been closely connected with music. I performed with youth ensembles, played in bands, and became interested in folklore and historical reenactment. Now that I’m a parent, I miss all of it terribly, and I believe we can create something wonderful and full of sound together! I invite you to a space for adults who miss music and want to sing and relax, even if they’ve never done it before. There’s no hierarchy, judgment, or right notes here — we’re all on equal footing. And most importantly: you can and should bring your children. The program is designed to make sure the little ones enjoy themselves and feel comfortable too. What we’ll do in 60 minutes: A gentle warm-up: vocal exercises, a soothing vocal warm-up, and finding support (the diaphragm). Polyphony: we’ll try singing together, listening to one another, and building a shared harmony. Seasonal folk songs: throughout the year, we sing pan-Slavic melodies in Russian and Polish. Krakow songs. Free jam: vocal and instrumental improvisation. It lasts exactly as long as the energy flows — even until the very end of the hour if we get carried away. Bring: your good mood (or your tiredness, which we’ll gently release together through sound). Tuesdays Time: 10:30 – 11:30 Cost: pay what you can (suggested amount — from 20 zlotys). Location: Staccato Our chat, “Morning Jam.”
