Armenian actor Samvel Tadevosyan received the Golden Globes Beacon Award at a ceremony in Tashkent on October 23. For the red carpet and the stage, he chose an all-black suit, custom-made by designer Narek Jangiryan.

The Beacon Award is presented to young actors from Central Asia and the Caucasus whose work in film and television represents a new generation of talent. The award was presented at the Silk Road Tribute gala, held for the first time. Alongside Tadevosyan, the award was also received by Kazakh actress Shugyla Yeshen.

Samvel Tadevosyan is best known for the role of the volunteer Tigran in the 2016 war drama Life and Struggle (released internationally as The Line). For this performance, he was awarded the State Prize of Armenia and the Anahit Award from the National Film Academy of Armenia.

The actor's suit was created by Armenian designer Narek Jangiryan, known for his contemporary approach to tailoring. He previously designed the stage look for singer Brunette, who represented Armenia at Eurovision in 2023.

The actor's look was supported by the Yerevan platform Rien-à-Porter, which promotes local designers. This is the second time this year that the platform has presented Armenian fashion designers on the international stage. In March, they selected a dress by designer Varduhi Torosyan for director Maryam Sharafyan (Madeleine Sharafian), who was nominated for an Oscar.
