Hello Games has announced that it will release its game No Man’s Sky for iPhone and iPad on October 28. Players explore a procedurally generated universe, gather resources, trade and fight enemies.

The mobile version will run on devices with the A12 Bionic chip or newer. This means owners of the iPhone 11, the third-generation iPad Air and more recent models will be able to play it. The game will take up about 5 gigabytes of storage. Players will be able to play the introduction for free before buying.

According to the developers, they have brought nearly all the content added to the game over its ten years to mobile devices. However, at launch the game will not include multiplayer or the ability to build settlements on planets. The game can be controlled with a touchscreen or a connected gamepad, and on iPad also with a keyboard and mouse.

No Man's Sky was released in 2016. It marked its tenth anniversary in August, and in September it received the major Cosmos update, which allows players to manage their own space station.
