The story of Elizabeth Holmes and her collapsed company, Theranos, continues to draw viewers' attention. A recent closed screening of A24's new documentary Look at All of It at the Telluride festival has reminded audiences of the 2022 scripted series The Dropout, starring Amanda Seyfried.

Following the news of the documentary in September, viewing of the series on Hulu rose by 186%. If viewers spent 420,000 hours on it in August, in September the figure reached 1.2 million. The week before A24's wide release of the film (from October 12) added another 422,000 hours, equal to the whole of August.

By mid-October, the total viewing time of The Dropout since the autumn surge of interest had reached 2.2 million hours. The analytics service JustWatch reported that after the documentary's release, search queries about the series rose by 200%, placing it among the ten most popular.

The wave of interest also reached the book market. Journalist John Carreyrou's Bad Blood, which exposes Theranos, returned to The New York Times bestseller list.
