Flat 100
Lucky is looking for flat 100. The building has 9 floors and several entrances, with the same number of flats on every floor. The first entrance has flats 1 to 36. Which entrance and which floor should he go to?
Answer: entrance 3, floor 7. An entrance has 36 flats, so a floor has 36 / 9 = 4. The third entrance starts with flat 73. Flat 100 is the 28th in it, and 28 / 4 = 7: the seventh floor.
